Moto G96 Is Coming: Specs, Price, Features Out Now
Motorola is launching the Moto G96 on July 9 in India. It features a 144Hz OLED display, 50MP camera, Android 15, and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.

Motorola has officially announced the launch of its upcoming smartphone, Moto G96, scheduled to debut in India on July 9. Positioned in the competitive sub-Rs 20,000 category, the new device will be competing with models such as iQOO Z10 and Realme P3.
The Moto G96 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to offer a peak brightness of 1600 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Continuing Motorola's design language, the Moto G96 will come with a vegan leather back panel and a curved chassis. The phone also boasts an IP68 rating, indicating resistance to dust and water submersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Under the hood, the Moto G96 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip—a processor found in several mid-range phones including Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and Poco X6.
The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700C main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the rear. A 32MP front-facing camera will support selfies and video calls.
The smartphone will ship with Hello UI based on Android 15. While Motorola has not confirmed software support timelines, the brand is expected to continue its trend of offering three Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
The device is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery supporting 68W fast wired charging. Wireless charging support has not been confirmed, and given the price range, may not be included.
Other features include a plastic frame build and an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
